I have an 82Z-28 it had a 305 w/cross fire fuel injection the motor was gone when I got the car so I got a motor out of an 85 Iroc which is a 305 tpi I hooked the motor up and It will crank over but won't start. The fuel pump won't kick on when I turn the key on. The fuel pump works we hooked direct current up to it and it kicked on .We think the problem is at the firewall where the wiring harness hooks to the firewall. I think that the wiring is diffrent on the connector face from the firewall so if anybody knows which wire goes where on the connector face so it will hook up correctly to the firewall. The lights don't work either I think that it has to do with the wires at the firewall also.
