Is the computer blown or is it something else
One day while riding in my bro's gta the engine light came on and then it loss engine power and would turn off.ONce you restart it it would run fine until like two minutes later it would crap out again. We took it to a mechanic and he changed the computer and it ran fine for a day until it died again. Then the mechanic changed the distributor because apparently he said that oil was leaking into the module. The car seems to be running good and has even beaten a mustang gt lately but once in a while the engine light comes on again. My question is what is up with that stupid light...Is it a heat related problem because after you lwt it cool it runs fine again....thanxs

When the car stalls the light will come on regardless if you set a code or not.

Check your fuel pump pressure. Could be your pump cannot maintain proper pressure under certain driving conditions. To do this, you will need to add a fuel gauge in your system somewhere. I have a 5.0 VIN E engine. I went to a boneyard and got an identical fuel hose, cut it and put a tee with a gauge in it. I didn't have to drive my car, because I could see right off there wasn't sufficient pressure. Your pressure requirement depends upon year/engine, you'll have to check the GM manual or post a question here for the answer. (You can't run a fuel line with the gauge at the end into the passenger compartment-it is NOT SAFE)
