radio installers help
Give us some more info. Are these spare wires coming off the harness? There are hookups for stuff like cellular mute and door sensor that our cars don't have hookups for stock...so maybe you just don't need them. Anyhow, if they're wires, what colors are they? Does the unit work? A little more info and we can help you. Good luck!

If it's a two-wire harness coming from the CAR, and it has an orange & brown wire, then this is what it's for; the orange wire supplies constant +12 volts for the radio's clock & preset memory. You need this.
The brown wire supplies +12 volts only when the parking and/or headlights are on, it's for night illumination. Your Pioneer probably doesn't have this unless it's a really high end one.
(If it's your RADIO that has the questionable wires, refer to the manual [duh] or the previous post)
