HELP with rear hatch pull-down motor.

I had a tire in the back of my car and the hatch latched and tried to close down on top of it. The tire kept the hatch from coming all the way down. I moved the tire out of the way and now the hatch motor isn't working. I used a screwdriver to activate the latch several times, and also tried to trigger the switch, but still nothing. A similar thing happened once before but the motor started working again after I jiggled the latch. I pulled my fuses out of the block and none were blown. I also pulled the trim panel off, and saw a relay that may need to be replaced. Where is the fuse for this hatch motor? Should I go ahead and replace the relay? Sorry guys, I'm an electronically-challenged M.E.!

The hatch motor is on the accessory fuse, which is a 20 amp fuse. The accy fuse also has the dome light, power locks, and horn, plus some other stuff.

The relay is fairly inexpesive($10-$15) and after the fuse is probably the next thing to check.

Where exactly is this Relay?? Is it a silver thing connected to the Motor? Asking for help with a similar hatch problem on a 91 GTA. It opened Ok, but now the mtor will not activate to Pull down for the final close and lock. Can not drive car in the rain, Big problem. I have checked both the 15 and 20 AMP fuses, wires looked good and connected, and activated the :release switch by the latch with a screw driver, all failed to get the motor to activate. Where is the relay?, hopefully that might be it, much cheaper and easier than a new motor! Thanks for any help you can send. BD.
