HELP with rear hatch pull-down motor.
HELP with rear hatch pull-down motor.
I had a tire in the back of my car and the hatch latched and tried to close down on top of it. The tire kept the hatch from coming all the way down. I moved the tire out of the way and now the hatch motor isn't working. I used a screwdriver to activate the latch several times, and also tried to trigger the switch, but still nothing. A similar thing happened once before but the motor started working again after I jiggled the latch. I pulled my fuses out of the block and none were blown. I also pulled the trim panel off, and saw a relay that may need to be replaced. Where is the fuse for this hatch motor? Should I go ahead and replace the relay? Sorry guys, I'm an electronically-challenged M.E.!

The relay is fairly inexpesive($10-$15) and after the fuse is probably the next thing to check. </font>
