I am looking for a brown wire that is connected to the parking light switch. This wire will show +12v when the parking lites are on. I couldn't find it up under the dash, and was not able to loosen up the light switch itself. Is there an easier way to find one of these wires? A way to get to the light switch without tearing the whole dash apart?

If you remove your driver side kickpanel, there are a bunch of wires toward the front. The brown parking lamp wire runs through there.

Thanks for the tip, Omar. I already have the kickpanel removed, and there are several bundles of wires that run thru there. One is a harness all taped up, another is group that is fairly loose. I will check them for the brown wire.

I was just about to pop the kick panel back in, good thing I checked this post!!

The brown wire should go to the dimmer control, located to the right of the swing-out Convenience Center. the dimmer module is at the extreme left edge of the radio console. You should be able to tap the brown wire there. Stick you head up in the drivers footwell and twist it around like Hannibal would - you should be able to see the dimmer control module:
