Analog --> Digital gauges swap. .. help?

Anybody know somebody who's converted their analog gauges to the digital ones offered in 87-88 Trans Ams?

I've got all the diagrams, harnesses, etc.

But I don't know what to do about the odometer readings of the new gauge, to reset them where the original left off, or to bring it to 0, if even possible. Any ideas, or where I might go to find out?

Thanks!

Hi..Ive an '86 Trans-Am with the factory optional full electronic dash. Regarding your question, dont bother... Im in England and as far as I know the only 2 of us here with full electronic dash. Mine went down on mph lcd panel $260 + shipping later I got it back..Ask yourself is it worth it????It looks good but took me 2 years to find a repair shop for it. When I checked breakers yards who were hooked up to the computer they could only find two in the whole of North America. No garuntee if they work and they wanted $200 for them in that condition. Then you need the different sensorsand ecu unit...... The local(Kissimmee Florida on vacation!!) dealers dont touch them, they ship em to Orlando, on reaching them they say they send to Tampa!!! took me longer finding this from the dealers than it took to get mine repaired and sent back...If you find one on eBay or Yahoo grab it, I missed one by 2 weeks for 80 bucks.......keep on driving

My suggestion is keep chwecking the junk yards.
I was looking for a t-5 5-speed trans for my z-28.
One junk yard who said he was hooked in to the computer system told me the only two he could find were over 10 hours away. I ended up checking out other yards in the area and ended up finding four of them .
Chances are if you strike out at one yard, you will find what you are looking for at others.

I have the digital dash in my car right now (not working) the dash is all messed up. I will be swapping analog with digital (reverse of the post).... These damn digital dashes sux!!

I am going to use the Digital Dash setup to make a custom one with analog gauges and a TV where the trip computer is. ITs gonna be custom. Until then Ill drive with no gauges
