i dont know if this really belongs on the electronics board but i need help so i might as well ask, i have an 84 trans am and i want to change the speedometer and the gauges, the speedometer doesnt work anymore, and i have the gauge cluster from an 89 firebird, i was wondering if i could replace the 84 with the 89, are they compatable? please help me out, thanks

 

Your 84 is mechanical and 89 is electrical. I've seen adapter kits out there...
