keyless entry is easy to add if you've already got functional power locks. if you do not have power locks, you'll need to add a couple actuators and some wiring.

wiring color codes and some misc other info is avaliable if you follow this link:

DEI (Directed Electronics, Inc.) is the most widely known security manufacturer, and makes a very reliable product---I think their keyless entry is the 711T. (DEI makes Viper, Sidwinder, Python, Clifford, Avital, and more.) www.directed.com

Features to look/ask for:

Parking light flash (usually one flash for lock, two for unlock---makes it easier to verify what's going on)

Horn honk (performs the same function as the parking light flash, but also annoys your neighbors)

Domelight supervision (turns on domelight when you press unlock---the DEI units also turn on the domelight when you stop the car and shut off the engine)

Remote trunk release

Starter interrupt (not as effective as a real alarm, but it will at least prevent the engine from starting)

Flashing LED (as a visual theft deterrent)

[The DEI 711T comes with all these features either standard or as an option, and so does the Audivox PRO-9845B I install at my job]

on topic of prices, will you be installing the keyless entry module yourself or will you be having it installed by the local car stereo shop?

be warned, DEI warranties are null and void unless the product is installed by an authorized shop.
