Antenna Connector
Should radio shack or the local stereo place have an antenna connector? My attenna connector is totally screwed up and it doesn't even look like the right size for the aftermarket unit i have. Can you buy them and just cut off the old one and crimp on a new one? Cause it's making tons of fuzz cause of a crappy connection... so my radio sounds like garbage

Yes and yes. I have seen adapters in both, but personally like the Radio Shack adapter better (appears to be better quality), but the Circuit City had a much better selection (5-6 different sizes/types opposed to only one or two at Radio Shack). I guess standardization is no longer important to the manufacturers...
If I remember right, my antenna connector (1991 Camaro) was a regular Motorola type (large male plug) which is (was?) the standard connector for years, while my Sony player was a mini-type (can't remember the right terminology) (new style). Radio Shack had an adapter about an inch long while the Circuit City selection had a cable with one end with a plug and the other with a socket to adapt it.
