Driving home in my '85Z28 TPI, my left headlight went out. No big deal. I start the car up an hour later to go somewhere, turn the headlights on.... and both were out. When I hit the brights, all 4 lights went on. What's goin' on?!

Turns out they were burnt out. I just don't understand why they work when the high beams are on. I've always been under the impression that with a 4 light system, 1 light 1 bulb.

Well with our 4 light systems the low beams are seperate from the high beams. When the highs are on the lows are off...
