Ok i finally got my guages mounted and found a hole in the fire wall now for the water temp sender: i have an LG4 v8 and on the thermostat housing there are 2 things screwed into it what does each do and where do i put my sender for the guage so that i dont mess anything up with the electric fan. Its nice to know the water temp but not if its at 220 and the fan hasnt come on yet. thanx

 

If memory serves the temperature sending unit for the gauge is screwded into the block on the drivers side down between the #1 and #3 cylinders.
That is the sender you want to hook your gauge up to.
If you have the stupid red lights, you may have to get a different sending unit for the gauges.

 

is there any easy way to get that sending unit out of the side of the block. i tryed for about an hour and cant get a wrench or socket on it enough to get it out.
