I need help with my fan!!!

I've got a 89 RS. The previous owner had the fan wired so that you could turn it off/on manually, but now the fan won't work at all. I would like to restore the fan to how it was originally, but I realy have no idea how it was wired before. Are there any good resources to find a good diagrahm and instructions? Does anyone know how to do this. Right now, there are wires running just about everywhere. Lots aren't connected to anything. I could really use some help at getting this thing wired correctly again. Thanks for any help you can give.

There are schematics diagramming the system near the back of my Haynes manual. If you have one, look in there. In my car there's basically a relay on the driver-side firewall for the fan, and there are I believe 3 triggers for the fan. Temp, air-conditioning, and something else, and these triggers ground the relay to turn the fan on. I dont know anything about the wiring or location of the triggers though, because I havent looked any deeper than the power wire the the fan and the relay. See if you can get a hold of the schematics, they may help.
