Im trying to figure out why my inst lights wont work. Ive found power through to and out of the fuse box. I found a gray wire that goes to the radio harness. I dont have it connected to anything on my aftermarket harness. What is this wire? I put power to it and it burnt my printed circuit on my cluster. It broke in two spots. Can I fix this with a little solder? The gauges work, i think i burnt the circuits for the backlighteing? So what should this gray wire go to? Its a solid gray wire in the radio harness. Thanks for the help.

on a firebird it goes to the little lamp over the heat-a/c controls. I don't know about camaros, I only have the crappy haynes manual for a 'bird.
