is it hard to put Digital Gauges in a GTA?
I own a 87 GTA and i would like to get digital gauges that some gta had is it hard to swap over? Is it worth the trouble to do that?
analog dash setup you currently have is considerably more reliable than the digital dash setup. if you call the local gm dealer, you'll also find that many of the digital dash parts have been discontinued and the ones that haven't are very expensive.

you can find them on ebay every other week or so.
you'll need all the wiring diagrams and harnesses that come with the digi-dash too.
i've heard the unreliable thing too, but they are damn cool lookin', worth a shot if you really like it.
i've got one i want to swap in my 89 gta, but not sure who to take it to, electronics shop?

sell the dash?
you want to sell that digital dash?
i want one too.
since i'm not using the car as a daily driver, maybe once a week, i'm not too concerned with the reliability. as long as it all lights up.
hell, i'd replace it component by component if i had to!

I did the swap and im happy with it. Everything lights up. The only thing that does not work is the sensors for the dash as I did not get them ie doors, lights, washer fluid. I wired it up so that I can swicth back to analog.
