I left mine at .035 after I installed an MSD 6AL and Blaster coil without any problems. Then when I changed my plugs I gapped them at .045. MSDTech just said .010 over your current gap, so that's what I went with.
well... got it all installed.. made a nice bracket to go where the stock silencer for the breather was.. everything was just plug and play pretty much after that. routed all my wires. the nice thing was the battery is right there so I used the ground from the fender where that batt grnd is connected and the positive right to the battery... that's all fin and dandy haven't had much time to test out the higher end yet but seems to idle a lot nicer now... the only prob is I turned my 3500 audio system on and I have that lovely noise. I think I narrowed it down to being produced by my clarion eq650 whitch is a 4 volt preamp, eq, & cross-over. If I put barrel connectors between the connections from the head unit to the eq and the amp that runs my mids/highs I don't get the noise... I wonder if I put a noise filter on the eq/preamp if that will solve it?? anyone else ever had this prob??
I don't really believe in using noise filters because normally if everything is grounded and routed properly you shoulnd't get noise.. and I never had one bit of noise t'ill now..
