Crazy tach after MSD install?

Ok I know this has been asked about quite a bit, but it has been asked when referring to the 6AL box with the rev-limiter, which I do not have. I have the 6A box and happy with the performance (not much, but its definately smoother) except for the fact that when I get to 4000 grand the tach starts jumping around on me. Should I look for the filter or is there something not hooked up right...........etc etc etc????

Never mind I believe I found my answer. Since I have a 91 there is a tach filter that I need to disconect and plug the wires directly together..............correct?
