Only difference is 8000 redline.

Today while at the local camaro and firebird salvage/shopping yard I came across a gauge cluster exactly like my 88 TA cluster except that it has an 8000 redline. My stroker motor is almost ready and to be sentimental I would like the factory tach to be in the car. My factory tach redlines at 6000 and the shift point on my new motor should be around 6700. If I can get the 8000 one that I found to work I will buy it. I have no other info on the 8000 cluster except that it is exactly like my 88TA cluster except for the 8000 tach. I can buy the entire cluster for $50 so even if the whole thing will not bolt up can I use Just the 8000K face? I have used the search button all afternoon and have found some help but not enough to make me spend 50 bucks. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. BTW I bought a 3.42 R/P on its carrier for 10 bucks from these guys. Some times walking through a salvage yard does pay off. Thank you. Jeff

not sure, the car is in pieces and I am not sure that the cluster is the one that came in this particular pile of parts.
