With the engine running there is no life in the Volts gauge, needle points straight down. However, there is life in it while cranking the engine.

Fuses are okay and there is about 13V at the F7 pin (Brown wire) in the firewall bulkhead connector, with the engine running.

Before tearing into the dash I just thought I would run it past you guys to see if I'm missing something. To me the obvious is 'Bad Gauge' but???

BTW, I am non-cc. The P/S harness is nicely packed away in a carton.

The voltmeter is wired in parallel with the fuel gage +12v and ground. So, if your fuel gage is working, it seems most likely that the voltmeter is bad.

Thanks Iroc, your logic made sense to me, so I pulled the dash panel off.

Here is what I found and I hope it will help someone else someday. These little things can be aggravating.

My gauge needle was at rest in the 5 o'clock position, actually stuck there. So I just nudged it with my finger, very lightly, and it snapped to the 7 o'clock position. I then turned the key to the 'Run' position and it snapped to about 13 Volts.

Should be okay, however, I would like to start the engine a few times to be sure that it doesn't stick again. Can't do that until tommorow. If I run into any problem, which I doubt, I'll come back.
