COOLING FAN IS SHOT...
hmmm...car started overheating one day, shot up to 260* and pegged itself in about 6mins.
checked the fan, smoke was coming from the motor...tried to turn the fan by hand, fan wouldn't budge...
put a new fan on, and the fan won't turn on...tried a manual switch, still won't come on. sometimes i can hear the relay click, but the fan doesn't come on.
is there anything else i've missed or should check? could my temp. switch be shot?
all thoughts are much appreciated

That happened to me on my bro’s 92. The wires leading up to the fan melted. Follow the wires back as far as you can and see if there burnt.

One thought, perhaps the contacts in the relay are damaged, if the fan bearings locked, the load drawn by the motor may have fried the relay contacts.
