One of the wires needs to be connected to the (+) pos. ignition wire. Where is this? I'm not that good w/ cars and could use some help. I just got the car about 3 months ago! If you have any pics, or detailed description would help alot! .....also I had the tach in my 4cyl car previous, and for that you had to clip the two wires behind the tach for a 4 cyl, and just leave it if it was a 8cyl. If I twist the wires back together would it work the same? I hope I don't have to buy another tach! Thanx again.....:hail:

 

the wire you want should be on the ignition coil.. as for the snipped wires, you should also be able to reconnect them and it should work for your 8-cyl

 

Is there more than one? Is there a colored wire I should look for?
When I installed it on my 4cyl. I just spliced it w/ the "yellow"
wire. That was on my honda, should it be the same on the chevy? Thanx again....
