please use a metal toggle switch. it is a good idea if u dont want to go through $20 like i did. those plastic ones dont hold up a darn. they melt and smoke. on my way to work the other day i looked like cheech and chong's impala with allthe smoke in it except i wasnt smokin the cheeba!

Something else would be also to use the old fan solenoid and put a plastic or metal switch on the green/white wire.

Running high amperage through a low-amperage switch = smoke. Use the fan relay like stated above, dont wire the switch directly inline with the fan.
