Hatch

OK im sure this has been asked a hundred times already. But I did go to previous posts and could not find one that delt with this speficic problem.

OK here it is

When I close the hatch IT catches and starts to pull it down, it makes the noise and starts to pull it down. But, then stops going down and sort of sits there while its saposed to be pulling it down. THe hatch locks, but you can pull it up about 3 inches and you could probobly rip the hatch off if you really wanted too.

I think what is happening is that the thing is latching, but as the motor trys to pull it down, the motor pulls it self up insted of pulling the hatch down.

Anyone had this happen before and how to fix.....

The plastic housing and gear nut are available from GM. I've machined drop-in replacement guides from solid nylon (much stronger than the OEM injection molded ones). I have them available for sale as a set of four guides including a new push nut and detailed illustrated instructions.
