I own a 91 firebird w/ 305 tbi. I installed an msd 6al on it. Immediately after instaling it i ran my car and it acted like i had a plug wire arcing on a header. It stumbles when i accelerate and acts like it has a miss. My question is do i have to adjust my timing? I also have a chip in the comp. Would that have any affect on it?

 

do you have the correct wires? suppression core wire will give you problems. you need spiral core wires.
