I need quick help..

I am an avid camaro fan, however I know very little about cars. Yesterday my turn signals completly stopped working. The hazard lights switch still works fine but nothing when I try to use the turn signal.

About 2 hours before they stopped working they started doing wierd things like flash every 5-10 seconds or really really fast.

I have a repair manual but it doesn't cover this topic at all.

If anybody can help I would greatly appriciate it.

My car details :
1983 Camaro
2.8L V6

If both sides are out most likely it's just a bad flasher. They tend to change flash rate when the bi-metallic strip inside fatigues and fails. If only one side is not flashing then it's most likely a bulb. By the way, welcome to TG. Dan

Yeah, I was thinking it was a bad flasher but where the heck is it located at? I am hoping I don't have to tear apart the stearing wheel just to get to it.

Thanks,

It is up under the driver side dash. Drop the kick panel and look up there, towards the center of the car is where I found mine.

I found the little box with the hazzard flasher and the buzzer but there isn't one there for the turn signal. It's getting frustrating!

:-)

-Thanks

Mine was tucked up pretty far and was mounted to a small bracket. Heh, keep looking, it is up there.
