Questions about wiring another Tach

NO I'm not asking how to hook one, up if I had one I'd read directions.

Here is my question, I just recently installed a new Gauge cluster and while playing with the old one I noticed how the tach and gas and temp gauges are hooked in. They have those screws coming outta them and they just snap in place. So could I take my old tach, and run some leads from the current one and hook it to the old one??

Would this possibly work? Then I could just get a 5 inch cup to mount it in.

Thoughts? Answers??

I would think that it would work. The tach gauge has power, ground, and tach inputs, and paralleling two tachs should not be a problem.
