Sylvania HID conversion kits, who has it?
I did the search, and still have found no one with this kit! It comes with the sealed beams, all wires, and balasts. It is on the Sylvania web site as the Xenarc series. Has anyone used this kit before? I have seen kits with just the bulb, i personaly have the Sylvania Super Blue bulbs that are like $10 a piece! Anyone have any comments on this kit or any other HID kit for our cars? Thanks for any info-Bryan

I went to the site and checked them out. I'd love to have them but seems a bit pricey to me. I took some advice from some of the guys on the board and found the headlight grounds. I cleaned them off and W0W! My headlights are way brighter now. The grounds were rusted up. Have you done this yet?
Also, there is a place in California called GOTXENON Inc. They offer the kit for $40 for low beam and $40 for high beam plus $24 for shipping. For a little over $100 you can have the whole kit. There email address is: aunomi79@aol.com

I plan to get these for my car soon.

Thanks for the info man! They are a bit pricey. It is something i will consider and would like to do when my motor is out of the way! You know, when i have the extra cash, it is something that is different and very sweet at the same time. I have the Super Blue units in now, they are pretty bright, better than stock!

My car is an 83 and the headlight grounds are right behind the headlights in the engine compartment. In other words just open the hood and look up under the lip behind the headlight plugs. There is one on each side. You will probably have to stick your head down in the engine compartment to see them. One will be right behind the battery. The other will be behind where the charcoal canister. Mine were in terrible condition.

I had them on my car. Stay away from them...
They look GREAT and really light up the road... PROBLEM: Lights on Firebirds are in the down position exposing the rear of the headlight to water, moisture, etc. Looks like they were designed for "normal" cars with the rear of the lense pointing to the rear of the car and more protected. Even with the rubber protectors in place on the lenses, water still got in. One finally got enough in there to splash on the bulb and blew it!
Nice, but you'll have to figure out a way to seal them.
