FIRE - now i got more problems

It all started when I smashed some wires under my passenger side valve cover in the back. This caused a fire and and oil to splash on the headers which caused smoke. I pulled the valve cover and about 10-15 wires were affected by the fire. I thought pretty much all of the wires on the passenger side heading towards the fender went to the computer and since I have a carb and HEI I figured they were not important. I defineatly knew they didn't go to the starter or distributor or alternator. All of the wires were very small like 14 awg or smaller. All of them had the rubber insulation burned off of them many up to 8" of bare wire. So I just cut the wires off where they were bare metal. Please remember that most of these wires went from the back of the passenger side valve cover and turned towards the front of the car. Now I went to test everything and everything is fine, except for the gauges. ALL of my gauges are dead, none work. What did I do? Do I need to fix one wire to fix all of the gauges or do I need to solder a bunch of wires to fix the gauges? What did I do?
Thank you,
Brady
