my 91 RS has smoke coming out from dash buy the heat controls was not doing the whole time running, but would stop at light and see smoke and smell plastic burning !! anyone had this prob, have not took dash off yet.smoke

There is a very real risk of the car catching fire. Disconnect the battery and park the vehicle until you figure out what's wrong.
