I just bought a new autometer speedometer for my 84 Trans Am and I need a custom made cable. the company autometer referred me to asked for the length of the original cable. does anyone have a car aprt right now that could measure this cable. it would have to be the cable for a mech speedo of course and hooked up to a 700R4 tranny. I can't imagine the year would make much dif between 82-92 but like I said earlier mine is an 84. thanks for any input guys.

 

I just took mine out and measured it and it is 77 inches long if anyone else would ever plan on this samw speedo swap. I told the guy to ad an extra inch just to be safe though on the new cable being made.
