Power window

My passenger side p/w doesn't move anymore. I have determined that it is the motor that is shot and with 140000 miles, I am not surprised.

My question is, does the entire motor and regulator assembly need replacing or can I just pop a new motor on there. I have not yet taken the door panel off so I have not seen what I am working with. Just interested in what anyone else has encountered with power windows.

Thanks in advance.

well what i did was just drill out the three rivets holding the motor to the regulator, and with the window full up and wedged.. i just swapped in the new motor and used the new bolts and nuts with lock washers and thread lock. been about 4 months and still running strong..
