Hey guys i have a 1992 Firebird with a Formula bulge hood..i replaced the opening with the older 82-84 wire mesh type screen and want to add the ....82-84 Trans Am hood louvre assembly ( once i find one )...has anyone ever wired one up to his car and if so how did you do it so it worked properly......also have an ad in the classified section looking for one.......advise would be greatly appreciated...

 

If I remember correctly, there is an output from the ECM that engaged the solenoid @ WOT. If you are up to building a simple circuit, I can send you a achematic for a circuit that uses the TPS as an input & may be adjusted to engage a relay for the hood cold air induction solenoid at any desired throttle angle.

 

Tim........that would be great if u could send me the schematic for that........at least i'll have it for when i find the hood louvre assembly to put under the hood bulge...havent been able to find one in the boneyards around here am hoping someone has one in their garage just sitting around they wouldnt mind parting with ....
