swapping speedometers
MY 87 Formula has the boring 85 mph speedo in it. I picked up a 140 mph speedo yesterday at the junker from an 87 GTA. Will this speedo just plug in and work or will I have problems?
thanks

Yes, they are both electronic...but will there be different calibrations on the "board/chip" attatched to it for different rear end ratios?

i myself didnt think that there would be any problems, but i can be wrong i dont have a firebird so i dont know. run a search this topic was just brought up a month or two ago.
I replied to a similar question on a different board on this site. I also have an 87 Formula with the LG4. I put a 140 mph cluster in with no problems. Only thing different is the choke light is now the VATS light.
