Please help.........please......

Ok heres the story. I would get in my car and turn the key and nothing would happen, no dome light, no ignition nothing, almost like the battery was dead, id keep moving the ignition lock cylinder to start and off and accesorry and it would finally catch at some poitn and the car would start and id have lights and everything, like theres nothing wrong. Now it was doing this a couple of times and it would eventually catch and start for me. Welll the other day it completly stopped and i decided that maybe the igniton switch needed replacing. So i lowered the steering column and got it out (damn that was a bitch to get out too!) so i got one and put it in, connected it, screwed it down with one screw. Well I thought i had all the wires down there connected but i didnt, well anyway i put the ignition to on and it all came on like normal, but when i went to put the headlight switch on to check that the high beam switch worked it all went off once i pulled it out. Well i thought maybe it was becuase i didnt have some connectors together so i connected everything and stuck the column back with some bolts to hold it in place. It still wont work, no lights nothing.

Ive checked:all fuses, battery power is good, all switches are in place. I do have the gm alarm sytem in it so i dont know if that could be a problem, but i didnt touch any of those connectors, theres no voltage going to the4 inch by 4 inch black box under the dash either.

So please please tell me something!!!! Any more info please aks!! I NEED TO GET TO CLASS TOMMRROW!!!!

You've likely got a marginal power or ground connection somewhere. Don't be surprised if it happens again.

Yeah it did come back It seems to do it when the car has sat for a long time like overnite, and its usually very cold when it happens. It takes like 4 or 5 turns back and forth of the ignition to get it to turn on(have power). So what do you guys think i could check on this thing. marginal Power vader? where are the connections i should check, it svery cold in the single digits here and i dont want to go searching all over the car.

Thanks
