Can't take the GTA anymore!

OK my passion for this car is done. I went to turn the car on and it made a click noise like it did 2 months back when some wires melted and stuff...well guess what! the stupid thing id it again! I turned the key forward and saw smoke, tried to put the windows down and no go just smoked more from all the dashboard!!! man this sucks! I hate this GTA...after it gets out of the electronic guy who is wiring it up, I am selling it for $2,200 all it needs is a windshield and hood, its primed and ready to paint. I love this car but can't deal with its costly repairs...I am going to get a 94 Grand Prix for now......what do you all think could be causing this problem?!?!?! AARON

Check for bad earth connections, and a faulty battery can cause that. If a battery has an internal leakage (electrical ) problem it can go flat over the weekend and can cause excessive current drain through acc wiring etc. Since an internal leakage is a shorted cell the alternator tries to charge the battery at its max rate (alternator rating eg 100 amps) and this can easily blow or melt wiring. Once this happens the melted wiring/plastic turns to carbon and causes more problems as it conducts and when you turn the key "POOF" more problems you have a short where the burns are so the problem gets worse.
