ecm/carb
hey guys whats up....ok im buying a 406 and im going to go with a carb for now...(EFI is to much money for all that id need right now) it came to about a 1000 bucks less for a carb then a FI setup...
my question is..the wiring harness controls the windshield wipers and a couple things that i would like to keep...
so could i take the harness and "bundle it up" and put in the corner of the engine bay..protected of course..so i could still use my wipers and the other **** that the harness controls...
could i do this?...even though the motor will not be computer controlled, will the wipers and stuff still work...
how will i keep power to the ecm to run the guages and wipers, but not controll the distributor and such...
like i said this is all temporary so i can get my car back on the road...but i will eventually go with a mini ram or something
thanks guys

The ECM has nothing to do with your wipers, lights, gauges or pretty much anything the goes to the bulkhead next to the brake booster. There are a few wires from the bulkhead to the ECM harness but, they have no critical function to each other.
