91 Camaro changed from TBI 305 to a carb 355. Have starteer wired in to heavey purple wire from drivers side harness then to battery. Ignition will turn but will not crank the engine. HAve all other wires from passenger cluster and driver's cluster cut except for all red fusible links, the green temp sender, the tan and white oil sending unit sensor, the white tach wire and I believe the two tranny sensors which are not hooked up.
I can jump the starter with a screw driver but not turn the key. Is it the chip sensor or another problem Any ideas???
