Can anyone help???

I am rewiring the dash in my 87 Iroc-z convertible and want to know if anyone else has done this before. I haven't started yet and want to know what type of things I may run into. The car ran fine but it had a carb on it when I got it, when I checked into after I got it the car has a dealer installed 350 that was stuck in when the car had 0 miles on it so I wanted to put it all original but after removing carb and putting on tpi setup come to find out the plugs for the injectors got tore out along with a few others so I have a complete dash harness from an 87 to put back in and want to know how hard. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

JStoltz,

From what I understand, teh dash wiring is virtually the same for EFI or carbed engines. The wiring harness from the ECM to the engine is where the differences lie. You can get an engine wiring harness from recycler's yards or the aftermarket. Also, the ECM itself is different for a TPI engine. Have you looked at your ECM and found the GM part number?

I have the ecm out of an 87 t-top I parted out a while back so it is the same and for a 350 car. I also got the entire dash wiring from House of Camaro. Very good place every single plug is intact, even the stereo plugs. I hope they are the same so it's just a matter of replacing the plug I took out and working my way across the dash. Thanks for replying any help you can give me along the way is gladly accepted as well as needed. I will probably get started by Weds. because it is supposed to warm up.
