WTF? power door looks!!

trying to put the interior back together on my car, but now the power door locks and power trunk release doesnt work. I have a good 12 volts to the plug that plugs into both power lock motors. but when i push the buttons nothing happens (i also have 12v at the power door lock switches) any ideas? any ideas where i should start looking to see why the power trunk release doesnt work?

Isn;t there a relay under the console for one of the two switches? I think I remember there being one under their. Also, if you recently pulled a battery cable off for any reason, make sure that the cable was not minorly cross threaded. I had the same problem and it turned out the battery cable was just barely not making enough contact.

there is a relay for the switches, although mine was under the dash....but it seems to be working because when i press the lock/unlock button then power goes through it to the plug for the lock motors. im getting good power to the whole car, even the power windows work. the car hasnt had power for almost 6 months since i took the engine out. no fuses are blown.

i cant belive that both power door lock motors and the power trunk release motor went bad after just sitting in the shop for half a year. everything else still works perfect.

any more ideas

I have a hard time beliveing that too. I would think it would all be related to one thing. If I were you, I'd pull the door panels and have a good look at all the connections and what not. Looking at my wiring diagrams, there looks to be a relay for both the lock and unlock mechanisms. There also seems to be power coming from both ends of the circuit which would expain why you are getting a power reading. There is s 35amp breaker and a 20amp acc fuse in the I/P fuse panel.

relay for unlock and another for lock, you will hear relays click if they are working/getting power

Your problem sounds like a fuse djarum101. But the relay for the hatch is behind the plastic panel covering the motor, the relay for the power door locks are behind the drivers side kick panel and there isn't a relay for the mirror light that i know of.
