Question about VATS and aftermarket computers
I am not running my factory computer for anything, i am running a FAST aftermarket ECM
i was curious if i was going to have a problem with the VATS or is it not going to be an issue since the computer isn't doing anything anymore?

VATS does 2 things. It enables the starter relay, and it sends a signal to the ecm to pulse the fuel injectors. If the aftermarket ecm is handling fuel delivery the only issue it the starter enable relay. If the VATS module is left intact and it's powered up it should still operate the relay. If for some reason there is a problem it's a simple issue to bypass the relay. PM me if you need any help. Dan
