I own a 87 GTA and need help with this- my climate controls do not work, fan control and temp slide do not work and the dash in this area gets very hot. The display above the climate controls works for 10 sec. too 5 min. and then goes blank and RESETS all but the milage the next time the key is turned to the acc. pos. the only thing it will do is blow max heat right at your face (just in time for a hot summer) when you press the HEAT button- that is also the only light on the climate control panel that comes on, the off button will turn the fan and the Heat button will pop out, but Heat is all you get. I have tryed to jump the AC low pres. switch with the AC button pressed (no AC light) but it did not come on.
I have only had the car for 2 weeks and all the above has not worked in that time, the car was purch. on a lot as-is, no prev. owner info, new tires good body good int with no cracks in dash, 47150 on the OD(when lit) which seems to log miles when not lit, AT,PW,PDL, thast all I know right know. ANY help would make my day!
