Slow Wipers

Probably a third gen problem. 
I have an 86 IROC and I replaced my wiper motor cause it chewed up the gear inside. Anyway, whn i put the new one in, it was no faster then the original one. Even on fast, mine still seem slower then other cars out there. Do what i did, put Rain-X on winshield, that stuff works great. Dont even need to use wipers most of the time.
