Non computer wires in Computer Harness!!??!!

I was cutting out my ECM harness when I noticed the hood light power wire ran through it. That wire was spared. Now my question is, are there any more such wires in the ECM harness? I need my gauges, heater, wipers, horn, etc. Also is VSS in the cluster?

Thanks everyone

Car is a 91 RS with a V8 formerly TBI.

The VSS is on the transmission. Your wire for it will pass through the engine wiring harness in thru the fender. I think that that, as well as all the guages except voltmeter pass thru the ECM. Your heater has a seperate harness that passes through the firewall and goes to the blower motor, and it pulls its 12+ from the fuse box. You'll be fine with the wiper and horn as long as you didn't remove the harness that passes through the firewall on the drivers side. I'm sure someone else can chime in and let you know for sure about the guages

nope, but it comes off the trans right where the speedo cable would normally be. It's just a little sensor with a wire coming off of it. Going from memory, I want to say green, but since you are dealing with vehicle wiring (which is a pain in the butt to troubleshoot once you get all the wires ran) I would verify the wire

Take care,
Matt
