Where do you guys who do engine swaps get your wiring diagrams from? I have looked high and low for one that has wire colors and connectors for my '91 305 TBI and the '86 Firebird body wiring diagrams..neither the haynes or the chiltons manuals have them and I want to get his car running.

 

My local public library has Motor manual and the big Chilton's Manuals, which have wiring diagrams.

 

From a 1991 Camaro or Firebird Service Manual and 1986 Firebird Service Manual (aka Helms Manuals). They are available from Helms Inc. or used from eBay. Each one is roughly 3" thick and a hefty 6 lbs. Yes they are expensive. Yes they are worth it.

Ouch...$90 a peice. I can't justify that considering I only paid $125 for the engine and the transmission. Does anyone have these books and be willing to scan the wiring diagrams?

I just want my car to run....

This '90 Firebird HELMS Manual should work for your purposes. Otherwise keep a lookout on eBay for a used '91 manual.

You can subscribe to alldatadiy.com for both cars and only pay about $40. They have good wiring diagrams and good tech info.
