Common Firebird problem??

I have an 89 FF350, and lately the headlights randomly do not pop-up. The lights come on but they dont flip up. I get them to flip up but hitting the just to the left, right next to where the switch is.

Is this common? Just a bad ground or lose wire? How hard is it to get in there? I havent looked at it in the daytime yet.

any help is appreciated!

Headlight motor problems are very common. Sounds like your headlight switch is bad. Replace it. I dont think they are very expensive.

It does sound like the switch. If that does not work it is the relays.

Had the same problem happen too me many years ago. It was the headlight switch. The Head Light switch can be order though Advance Auto Parts.

My 85 used to do that. My way around it was to just lightly press on the switch until the lights popped up, then push it in all the way. Not sure if this will work on yours, but may be worth a try.
