Lost keys....now what?
ok well lets just say someone happens to misplace his camaro keys and they are no where to be found ever again. is there any easy way to get to the on position without having to switch ignition cylinders (?) and all that? thanks

Well, depending on your year and model car and assuming that it is the original lock cylinder. Your local dealership should have the information for your key. If your key contains the pellet for the VATS and is a pre-1990 car, then you are looking at a whole new can of worms. But to answer your question, no, there is no easy way to get to the on position without a key.

u can run without key, and drive too, but u would have to dissasemble ur steering wheel, remove the locking plate, and then put the wheel back on, then u could unplug the ignition switch wiring from the steering column, and work it that way

call gm roadside assistence they will have your codes even before 1990 i just called and got mine but they did have the wrong one for the ignition but for you i would try my car was a 1989 and they did have the door code and made me a key for free to bad i still have to change my cylinder.hope i was helpfull goodluck bro.
