I assume that you left all the wiring on your car intact ?? If so I can't understand why the plugs don't match up ??? The power for the system comes from a plug wired into the engine harness. The other connector runs thru the firewall to the heater switch & to the blower & relay on the other end. Where does the "new" connector come into play ??
In Any case; on the engine side of the fire wall there are just 2 wires that you need to worry about,....... Red and black. Red will supply the heater relay with power and black will provide a path to ground.
Connect ( or splice ) the red wire that's all by itself on the heater harness.
Then connect ( or splice ) the black wire from one connector to the other.
The Green and Blue wires on the heater harness are used for the AC system and are not needed if you are simply trying to get the blower to run.
I've had to overcome the same type of problem on 2 occasions,........ but both times it was due to an engine swap. As a result of the changed engine harness, the heater plug was different.
Hope that helps !!!
