I'm in the process of looking for a new Firebird to replace the one my brother killed, and found a possible replacement...

It seems to be a fairly stripped bird, w/ the idiot lamps and even w/o the map pouch...

I wanted to know if anyone has swapped in a normal gauge set for the idiot lamps, or if it's even possible.

I've got the gauges out of the dead bird, along with the trim piece...Mostly I'm wondering if the sensors and such are there, or if it would be really hard to add in...

Not sure about a bird, but on my Camaro I replaced my idiot lights with a cluster that had everything. The only thing I had to do was replace the oil and water sending unit.

I would guess that is all you would have to do with your car too.

 

I switched a firebird light to gauge cluster and had to rewire the dash and change a few of the sending units. Not to hard just alot of time.
