I NEED TO CHANGE MY WHOLE COLUM AND I HAVE A 5-SPEED. NOW DO I NEED A COLUM FROM ANOTHER 5-SPEED OR CAN I USE A COLUM FROM AN AUTOMATIC. WE ALL KNOW 5-SPEEDS ALONE ARE HARD TO FIND AT JUNKYARDS.......

in a race i seem to remember looking over and not seeing you pull away, plus you wrecked my valvetrain racing that mustang, but at least you beat him, and you wouldnt have a five speed any more if it wasnt for my help, and didnt a mustang owner crack your bellhousing

Columns for standard and auto cars are the same. The difference lies within the ignition switch. Auto cars have a cable that attaches from the shifter to the switch that locks out the shifter what the ignition is off (ign cyl locked/key out).
Swap the igntion switch from your original column to the new one, install column and call it a day.
