Battery relocation questions (did a search)
I did do a search but i didnt get any difinitive info on relocating my battery, im going to put it in the lock area on the drivers side, is it okay to set the battery on it's side if necesary ? And all this talk about venting batteries has me a little confused, what does one need to vent the battery ? And finally i know one should use 0 guage wire, which is better to run the wires inside or out of the car ? and i assume grounding to rear of the car is okay .
There's just not enough room under the hood for a procharger and the battery so it's going in the trunk, OH i heard somthing about making the car capable of charging the battery from the front and the back, has anyone done this ?
Thanks guys

Don't lay it on its side. Battery acid will leak out and eat your car alive. Also, when a lead-acid battery is being charged it emits hydrogen. If it's not properly sealed off and vented to the outside of the car, the hydrogen -could- build up and cause an explosion. You just need to seal it off from the passenger compartment and run a tube or hose to the outside of the car.
They say you need to use 0 gauge wire for this, but I've had mine in the spare tire well for about 4 years with 4ga wire and haven't had any trouble (although my gear reduction starter probably doesn't pull as much current as a stocker.)
As far as charging from both ends, you can get remote charging terminals from Summit or Jeg's. They install very easily.
