short problem.... still...
So after much exploration and many a headache I still can't find my short. It has been several months and I haven't found anyone who can help. Everywhere I go says it's 50 dollars an hour just to look for it. I can't afford 50 dollars an hour. Here's what it does. I try to put a fuse in and it blows immediately. It runs the horn, cigarette lighter, power door locks, trunk light and the radio constant. I have completely removed the trunk light, unhooked the cigarette lighter, nad have looked under the dash about 20 times.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The short has to be between the fuse and one of the switchs. You might want to check the wires going into the door. They tend to break on the inside after opening and closeing the door so many times.
If you have an aftermarket radio in the car, pull it out and check the wiring job. Alot of people just don't know what they are doing, and just twist the wires together and don't even tape them. Or they use wire nuts or butt connectors with a cheap crimp tool. The only sure way to wire in aftermarket stuff is by soldering and using heat shrink, or good quality tape.

I agree with OneB's statement, even doing a descent job on radio wiring, sometimes just shoving the deck back into the cramped radio opening can bind or cut wire insulation causing it to ground on the radio chassis.

Thanks I checked the wiring job already. I did it myself and have made sure every wire that wasn't used was cut and taped off so there was no chance of grounding. I will check it again though just to make absolutly sure. It has to be something getting constant power. Nad as for the doors I'll take those apart. I'm starting to think maybe it's the horn. Any other suggestions?
